Private screeners

If you request or receive a private screener, we process your name, email address, organization if supplied, request notes, approval and access records, and any messages you send about the film. We use a cookie to keep your screener session signed in. A personal invitation link can be used by anyone who receives it, so please keep it private.

For videos anywhere on the site, we or our video providers may record playback activity such as whether a video was started, paused, resumed, or completed; viewing times; approximate portions watched; playback position; repeat or return visits; and technical information needed to deliver the video. For private screeners, this activity is associated with the applicable invitation so that we can resume playback, manage access, understand engagement, and follow up about the film. These figures reflect activity from a browser or invitation and do not prove who was watching or whether the viewer was paying attention. Requesting a screener does not subscribe you to marketing email.

Cloudflare Stream delivers the private film, and Resend delivers screener invitations and administrative notifications. Screener requests and viewing records are stored using Cloudflare. You can contact us at the address below to request access, correction, or deletion of this information.

How we use information

We use signup information to send occasional news about the film, screenings, availability, and related projects. We use technical information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the operation of the website and video player.

Service providers

We use MailerLite to manage subscriptions and send email, Vimeo to host and display video, and Cloudflare to host, deliver, and protect the website. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable privacy terms. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the website, private screeners, and mailing list, when you direct or authorize us to do so, or when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

Retention

We retain subscriber information while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward when necessary to document consent, honor suppression requests, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. We retain screener requests, access records, viewing activity, and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to manage screeners and related conversations, subject to applicable deletion requests and legal obligations. Our providers may retain technical, video analytics, and security records according to their own retention practices.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. You may also contact us to ask about accessing, correcting, or deleting your personal information, or to withdraw consent. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children’s privacy

This website and mailing list are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security
